You sit there, unblinking. The last day of the year. The last day.
The year was a kaleidoscope of happenings. Every moment feeling as though it just happened, yet so out of reach as if it were ten years in the past. Everything, everything you imagined turned itself inside-out in unexpected adventures.
Are you different?
If you could talk to the you from January of 2019, how would you compare? Maybe you looked exactly the same, and talked the same, but… let’s face it, you were a baby in this world. New to the experiences and people that you would meet. Now, look at you: you have the scars and smiles of the lessons you learned. School has chimed its last bell and you are free. Ready to begin again and grow to be the person you want to be.
A new year. A clean year of snow, covering the future in mysteries. A year to prove yourself, to be exactly who you were meant to be. Somewhere out there, on the winds of tomorrow, is you. A better you. A hopeful you. The you that will plow through the snow to get to where you want to be.
Throw away your mind from tomorrow, everything you think you know will soon be replaced again and again as you live through life. But don’t let go of what you need. The past runs through your veins, each memory dear, helping to pump the energy that lifts you to further heights.
You’re going to fly this year. Because you said so, everyday that you get out of bed. Be more than another body in constant repetition, walking to their job, completing only what is required of them. Be outrageous, the part of you sound asleep, push it into life. You’re going to make a difference.
Happy New Year,
my kindred spirits.
With God lighting our way, we can go where nobody has gone before.
