Jackets that fell, jackets of fall

Jackets that fell, jackets of fall

I woke up and Fall was here.

Naptime eyes remembered the

touch of light clothes in a

summer breeze, blowing

responsibility and dark clouds away.

Neverending heat,

laziness and comfort,

until the west breeze came under my skin,

so tired my eyes exclaimed that I

had to rest.

I arose, the sky casting farewells

and there it was

like I remembered in some faraway dream that came

every year.

Rustling coos of the turning leaves,

where one thing can become something else entirely,

so brings the wave of change

where will that leave me?

Humans too bring back their old jackets

sometimes they need to go out and buy more

clothes, in order to keep warm with the

change.

I go out and ask the trees who have shared

this summer with me,

ask them before they fall, before they leave,

If we as humans have changed?

In reply, short and courteous,

“The moth comes when it needs to feed, but after the ripping comes the patching, and then the new, and the old jacket is hung.”

I come home,

pull open my closet,

my jacket has many patches

there’s not much room for more,

I pull it on, the cloth clinging

too tightly.

Rough with age.

Yet, each stain held

tenderly in my eyes.

But there was no denying

it was outgrown.

Its eyes were ready to close

In memories.

I guess it’s time

to find another

Autumn Eyes

Autumn Eyes

I’ve never missed fall so

it’s weird in the dead of winter

 when I reminiscence on,

How the leaves crunched and smelled

The looks of piles stacked together

The crisp breeze in a lazy afternoon

Reading beneath the colors of a warm apple tea

Jazz-smooth voices on the radio

The feel of Halloween spooks and thrills

Creatures hidden in the daytime only come out

As the moon stretches past tree after tree

And you hear the rustle of the unimaginable

Alive or not

Poetry pages smell fresh of ink and

I will sit around for a while longer

Just to think

Of the warmest fall

 The winter has swallowed.

Napkins in Autumn Breath (Poem)

Napkins in Autumn Breath (Poem)

Hey mina!! How’s it going? This is the autumn poem I promised! The funny thing is I wrote this poem on a napkin after feeling inspired. Enjoy the read!

Napkins in Autumn Breath

A window, a table, ruffling napkins of ink.

Fall’s chilling breath strokes my neck,

veiny hands grab my shoulders like an old uncle.

Confudled feelings run cold with the past

cinnamon tea in my lips, steep to black.

Summer trees wave into frost

Fall is coming, I hear them mumble.

 Spirits sigh amid the rafters

shadows wide as the ceiling, glow.

Dry hands, cold feet, somewhere a warm bed.

Restless soundless world outside.

Rustling leaves walk about,

sun shivering behind her grey coat

and every hiding creature croaks…

Fall is coming

Fall is coming.

The Horror of Season Change

The Horror of Season Change

Hum, ho, I seem to be posting mainly poems. Don’t worry, I’ll try to do more of a variety. Guess what I’m posting today? Yup. A poem. XD Hope you like it, I was inspired by my hate of the weather turning colder and the days getting dark sooner. Can really drive a girl mad.

Kekeke, enjoy and tell me what you think!

The Horror of Season Change

There it goes gathering in my skin

Chilling my toes, all uncertain

What am I to do, sun growing cold

The light fades to dusk, the seasons make me old.

How am I to be happy in a season called fall?

Fall my carelessness, fall my emotions, fall.

Watch as all parts of me pull out and die

Ripped from the summer, fall and cry!

Take all you want, tear me apart!

The girl, her life, her very heart!

The world she loved, gone by you

I hope you’re happy, as I was too.

Deceased leaves, cold mornings, force their way

Craving for my memories by a single day

Instead of blue, grey drapes stay

I fell, I fall, I’ll fade away.
